Mountain Midwifery is a Donation & Outreach Center for Mothers’ Milk Bank. To be a donor, contact Mothers’ Milk Bank at 303.869.1888 to begin the donor screening process. All necessary lab work and blood draws can be done at MMC. Learn more here. Already a donor? You can drop off at MMC.

To receive milk for your baby, please arrive with a prescription in-hand. You can get a prescription from pediatric care providers, women’s care providers and IBCLC lactation consultants. MMC charges at-cost for milk. Email us for pricing.

Free the Girls Bra Donation

FTG logo
We are a used bra drop off location for Free the Girls. By partnering with established after-care facilities in Africa and South America, Free the Girls provides an opportunity for sex trafficking survivors to build their own business selling second-hand clothing while going to school, establishing a house, and caring for their families. Selling clothes allows them to work as much or as little as their school schedule permits. The women in the program receive their starting inventory as a donation, and are then able to buy additional inventory from Free The Girls for below wholesale value to help maintain their competitive edge in the marketplace. Revenue from inventory sales covers the overseas program costs so their international programs are sustainable. They work one-on-one with each budding entrepreneur in areas like inventory management, budgeting, and financial planning for future dreams and goals they want to achieve. In March 2016, we were proud to send 131 donated bras! Keep them coming. This is an ongoing collection.

Bokk Baby: Baby Clothing and Blankets Donation

FTG logo
MMC is a collection site for Bokk Baby, an online baby clothing and gift company with a mission to donate gently used baby clothing and blankets to women who deliver in rural clinics in Senegal, West Africa. We collect donations of used and outgrown baby clothing and blankets from our customers and from our local community via our return-by-mail donation program or donation drop boxes like the one at MMC. Donated items are sorted, and those suited for our Bokk Bundle Donation Program are packaged into take-home care bundles for mothers who labor and deliver in rural community health clinics in Senegal. The bundles are distributed by midwives who staff the rural clinics we partner with, and the program is also supported by Senegal’s Ministry of Health. Any donated items not suited for our Bokk Bundle Donation Program are re-donated or recycled responsibly with partnering nonprofits in Colorado. We are preparing to send 650 bundles overseas in early 2019, to be distributed in five clinics in Northern Senegal. Thank you to MMC for your ongoing support!

Libby Bortz Knitting Group Yarn Collection

Libby Bortz Assisted Living has a group of women that meet and knit hats and blankets for our MMC babies. This group is self-funded so they are always in need of yarn donations. If you have any extra yarn, please consider donating it for the adorable baby hats and blankets! You can drop it off here at MMC. They also love to see photos of our babies in the hats or blankets, please email us your photos.

Baby Blankets

MMC can always use clean and used baby blankets for our babies. We use them to wipe, warm, and cover baby after birth. If you have any leftover blankets, please bring them by. No fleece blankets as they melt in the warming drawers. Thanks!

Collections in the Community

Our families are frequently asking us where they can donate used or new baby supplies. We have found these organizations that are serving the Denver-metro community and would love to receive your donations. Please bring the donations directly to these organizations (not to Mountain Midwifery Center).

Carry the Future Carrier Donation

refugee carriers
We are collecting used soft-shell structured carriers for Carry the Future. Outfit refugees with baby carriers to provide comfort and security to their family. Refugees can end up walking hundreds of miles to their asylum destinations. They desperately need a safer, more comfortable way to carry their babies and toddlers. Carry the Future is accepting new and used carrier donations, as well as financial contributions to cover the cost of sending the carriers to Europe for distribution by volunteers to refugee families. This is an ongoing collection.
